- Panel 2: Dr. Ethos – " I've never seen the like! Such a massive event horizon between dimensions has never been documented! I must have data!!"
- Panel 3: Dr. Ethos – "Launch the probe!"

Zedan [I don't know why I keep doing this. I'm always just lost out here. Fitting, as this place always is.]
- Panel 2: Zedan [They can't even see me. And I'm no better than a wraith to most of the travelers. Who knows what the veil-sensitive ones think of me.] *sighs
- Panel 3: Zedan [at least it's not as bad as the Madness was-]
Maansik – "Zedan, my champion. I have a mission for you."
Zedan – "Wonderful. Can I at least get my sleep in privacy, Maansik?"
- Panel 4: Maansik – "No. You do not sleep as others do, and this is of great importance. The book you now see must be hidden from the world, lest "the one being" read it. You must find the book and seal it away."
- Panel 5: Zedan – "Sounds awesome. You mind telling my where this thing even is? Like, another Realm, or something? Cause I'm kind of stuck right now–"
Maansik – "Cease your gripping. The book's location is clear as of now. You have but to find one man, and the book will follow."
- Panel 6: Maansik – "His name is Ethos, a student of the physical laws of this level. His associate stole the book from Bhaav shortly before my partner was distracted by your arrival."
Zedan – "Looks like a Metal Golem."
Maansik – "However, not all is well, and the agents of chaos also search–"

- Panel 5: Zedan (to himself) – "great, all these need to be re-laid. You know what, never mind: let's just move."
- Panel 6: Zedan – "well, there are doctors with large annoying books to be found. Stick around 'till I get back." (To the mouse, which looks up at him and squeaks)
- Panel 7: (outside of Dr. Ethos's lab) Dr. Ethos – "Yes! YES!! I've found it! The solution is clear!"

- Panel 1: Dr. Ethos – "Tekka, this is fantastic! Better than I had hoped! It would appear that the reality-flux of the other world reacts directly to the presence of brain waves!"
Tekka – "sounds cool! Like you think of stuff and it happens?"
- Panel 2: Dr. Ethos – "not quite. But that is not the main issue now at hand! I have no normal brainwaves for which to influence the dimension's flux patterns. I must begin construction of a Bio-Electrical Augmentation Fabrication Convertor!
- Panel 3: Dr. Ethos – "Quick, hand me the Holo-scribe! The plans already begin to stir in my head!
Tekka – "look, I gotta head out. I haven't stolen any food all day.
Dr. Ethos – "Silly girl, quickly! We have sciencing to do!"

- Panel 5: Dr. Ethos – "Tekka, get out of here! Save yourself!"

- Panel 1: Zedan (holding up sketch of Dr. Ethos) – "I'm looking for this guy. Tall, made of metal, wears a long white cloak. Goes by the name Ethos? Anyone?"
Random guy – "no one's going to help you, Fighter."
- Panel 2: Zedan – "excuse me kind sire, would you help a bold adventurer out and direct me to the keep of Dr. Ethos? Oh wait, that's right: you're not listening to me. Go fall in a hole."
- Panel 3: Zedan – "The next market has got to be bette– what"
- Panel 4: Zedan screams as the seal on his back flares up.
- Panel 5: Zedan – [got to be one of the wraiths. Maansik warned they were after the book]
- Panel 6: Zedan – [Aaand guess who's right all the time. Fantastic.]

Zedan – "YOU ALMOST LET PURE CHAOS IN, YOU IDIOT!"
- Panel 4: Zedan – "I am taking this now, and I am hiding it. Do not look for it, because you will not find it. You don't know how lucky you were today."
- Panel 5: Tekka – "Man, that sucks. I worked extra hard to steal that creepy book."
Dr Ethos – "Do not worry about it, Tekka."
- Panel 6: Dr Ethos – "That book is filled with nothing but the scribbling of madmen and obsessed mystics. I have wasted enough time trying to decode even the smallest phrase."
- Panel 7: Dr Ethos – "My memory banks are better free of this clutter."
   Dr Ethos – "Now, I must begin the dissection of the creature!"
